Lakeside Park Found on the shores of Lake Winnebago, the 400-acre Lakeside Park draws many people to it throughout the year. Enjoy the gardens, lighthouse, covered bridges, lagoons and numerous activities found there. Encompassing roughly 32,000 acres of land, the Horicon National Wildlife Refuge provides visitors with a year-round facility for recreational activities such as hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, hunting, fishing and birdwatching. Nature classes are available at the visitor's center, which is open Monday to Friday and weekends in the springs and fall.
